A ravine situated at the eastern end of the Gľac plateau, between the Pircu and Čertova sihoť (Devil´s Sihoť) ridges. It is about 1,5 km long and it descends about 180 m. At the cross-roads in Kyseľ it divides into Vyšný (Upper) and Malý (Small) Kyseľ.

Especially the history of the process of discovering the ravine is interesting for the tourists. Although Kyseľ being close to Spišská Nová Ves, it took many years for the boffins to overpass it completely. The first expedition started on June 27, 1900 but the first passage through the ravine was achieved on August 25,1907 by Kazimír Kozlovský and his fellows. In 1925, the workers by the Spišská Nová Ves railway station placed the first metal ladders to the ravine. In 1975, the Mountain Rescue Service members opened the stretch above the Obrovský vodopád (Great Waterfall) to public.

On July 16-17, 1976 there was a fire where the ravine joins the Biely potok (White Creek). The fire caught successively the whole area on the left bank of the Kyseľ river and destroyed about 30 hectares of forest. This is the reason why all the hikes through the ravine are forbidden. The danger of falling rocks and burned trees is too high. The ladders in the ravine have been from the safety reasons dismantled. Only the alternate route that was not hit by the fire is open.
